Product quality is not defined by packaging alone. A responsible assessment combines traceability, batch information, appropriate storage, manufacturer transparency and independent laboratory evidence.
Check product identity and traceability
The label should identify the product name, manufacturer or brand, batch number, format, quantity and relevant dates. These details allow a product to be traced through the supply chain.
Review batch information
Batch-specific information is more useful than a generic certificate. When a laboratory report is available, its product and batch reference should correspond with the item being assessed.
Understand the laboratory report
Look for the laboratory name, report number, testing date, method, result and a way to verify the document.
Inspect packaging and storage
Packaging should be intact and consistent. Temperature, light and handling can also affect product integrity.
